Turbo Systems Attend Careers Fair

We had a brilliant time at Wyke Sixth Form College’s 2025 Careers Fair, chatting with students about their career goals and sharing what life’s really like at Turbo Systems.

Our team included Area Sales Manager Richard Sutton, Hire & Rental and Marketing Manager Tim Wilkinson, Apprentice Design Engineer Sarbjot Singh, and Head of Marketing Sam Strandt. They spent the day meeting hundreds of young people full of enthusiasm, curiosity, and ambition. It was great to see so much interest in engineering and hear so many thoughtful questions about how to get started in the industry.

Meeting Future Engineers

One of the best parts of the day was seeing students’ faces light up as they learned more about how our equipment is involved within the world around them. Many were keen to hear about apprenticeships, training opportunities, and career development at Turbo Systems.

Our newest apprentice Sarbjot Singh did a fantastic job talking about his own journey so far, explaining how he’s learning on the job, gaining hands-on experience, and being part of exciting real-world projects. Hearing directly from someone who’s just a few steps ahead really connected with a lot of the students.

Why These Careers Events Matter

We’re passionate about supporting the next generation of engineers and showing how rewarding a career in STEM can be. Careers fairs like Wyke’s give us a chance to inspire future talent, but also to listen and understand what young people are looking for in a career and how we can help them get there.

Events like this remind us just how much potential is out there. The level of enthusiasm, curiosity, and drive from the students we met was fantastic to see, and it reinforces why it’s so important for businesses like ours to stay connected with local education providers.
